FAQ
WHATS MY FIRST LESSON LIKE?
We’ll talk a little about you, what your experience is (if any) and why you’re looking for lessons. We’ll go through some exercises which will help me to asses your voice and how I will be best approaching our sessions. The first lesson is just as much for me as it is for you. I want you to feel comfortable and relaxed. Your voice is a very personal thing, so it’s important you are happy and safe with me. This is the case for singing and spoken lessons.
SHOULD I PREPARE SOMETHING?
If you feel confident to do so, yes. It should be something you feel very comfortable with and have sung for a good amount of time. The purpose of this would be for me to get a clearer understanding of your voice in performance. If you're unsure, just bring yourself and we will muddle through together. There is no pressure either way.

Spoken Sessions: an extract from a book or a poem are great. A Monologue will work too, as long as you know it well, but it is not necessary. I just want to hear your voice.
DO I NEED TO READ MUSIC?
Not necessarily. Most people listen and learn via ear, so reading music is definitely not a necessity. But if your wanting to look at grades or move towards working professionally it is more of a necessity. I can help you improve this if you want to.
DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS?
Yes. Online lessons are reduced, I offer a discount for students as well as block bookings which also reduces the price of the individual lessons.
